I recently played basketball with my brother, and he beat me. Twice in a row. That kid is getting better. I didn't play hard, but it was usually enough for me to give him a good drubbing on the court, but he's got some new quickness that wasn't there before. That's scary, since his shot is now pretty reliable.
I've got to get in better basketball shape. Seeing how Lebron James and Kobe Bryant are built, that's inspiring. Of course, I have a day job and can't focus on training all day, but I can make a few changes. Dropping a few pounds is a sure-fire way to jump higher. I'd probably be quicker also. I can work on my explosiveness by strengthening my muscular skeletal structure, too. Of course, I never do it, because I'm too lazy!
But my shooting form is back, at least. Now I just need the rest of my game back. Then I'll be ready to kick some ass. No real whole court games for me for the next 6 months, though. That's a hell of a lot of time to get into game shape. Let's just hope I actually do it.
