Don't blame it on Jerry Sloan, or Deron Williams, or Carlos Boozer. I don't think there's any team in the NBA right now that can face up to the Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. Actually, I don't think there's any basketball team in NBA history that can do that.
This isn't a knock on Larry Bird's Celtics, or Magic Johnson's Lakers, or Jordan's Bulls. This Lakers team is just too good. Maybe the only team that actually is stands a chance is Lebron James' Cleveland Cavaliers. Just because King James is an athletic freak of nature out there on the basketball court.
Kobe Bryant passed the ball to this teammates at the right times, and took it strong himself when he had to. Trevor Ariza was hot from outside, Lamar Odom was Lamar Odom, Pau Gasol played his usual brand of smart, Spanish basketball, and Bynum is 7 feet tall. How are you going to stop that? The Lakers are way too long, and way too strong for the Jazz. Deron Williams is brilliant, but he can't do it on his own. Carlos Boozer? Whatever muscle he's got left, it's not nearly enough to compete with the post players of the Lakers.
I predict a quick sweep of the Utah Jazz in this series. Sorry Jazz fans.
