Kobe Bryant led the Los Angeles Lakers in closing out the series against the Denver Nuggets. Was it ever in any doubt? Kobe Bryant is a genius with a basketball, and it was only a matter of time before he figured out how to win against Chauncey Billups, Carmelo Anthony and the Birdman.
He got his teammates involved, which had them playing some really good Lakers basketball. OK, maybe I am a little biased and Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol just really stepped up. Trevor Ariza did this thing, with the defense and the spot-up threes. This thing was over before it even began. When the Lakers are rolling like that, I don't know if any team can beat them.
Actually, scratch that. If the Los Angeles Lakers keep playing like this, they will be impossible to beat. If only Lebron James can get into the Finals, then this will be a series to remember. Lebron James is a force all on his own level. Just ask Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic. I think the Cleveland Cavaliers are the only team who stand a chance against Los Angeles Lakers at this point.
